The Black American Heritage Flag

The flag was designed in the year 1967 by Melvin Charles and Gleason T. Jackson. The motivation to create the flag came about when Charles noticed that every other group of people had a flag to display, but not Black Americans. Click below to learn more about this history of this flag.
